Taylor did the "polar bear plunge" right in to the river. It was freezing!
Peri was the first one to sit in the water. What a brave girl
All the kiddos-Peri, Tay, Ashton, Halle, Treagyn, Preston, and Carter
Bestest buddies, AJ, Brian and Cam
Relaxing by the river
Ashton is becoming a pretty good caster. He loves to fish with his dad. This was a few tips from Cam
The highlight of our trip!!!! Cam came face to face with a 600 pound grizzly bear. He decided to climb into the back of our pickup. We left the tailgate down, to start loading things late that evening- since we had an early start the next morning. We took one tote of food out, and he found it. Cam, went to get a water bootle off the front porch, and that's when they saw each other. The bear hopped out and ran away with a bag of garbage, ALL MY YUMMY CARMEL RICE CAKE, and tipped over a tote and left bear slobber on everything. He continued to come back the rest of the evening and even came onto the porch sometime between 4-5 a.m. to see what was in a box.
The proof
The boys were pretty intrigued by the whole thing, while the kids slept through it all.
A little football with Carter
A great game of whiffle ball- Peri decided she wants to try out for softball next year
Cam tripped on second base on a tree root, which resulted in a roll and reach to third base. He was safe! It seriously looked like someone pushed him from a moving vehicle. He's got the bruises to prove it.
Pizza dinner at Fred's Rocky Mountain pizza. The kids love this place.
We had to FORCE the kids to go outside and play in the beautiful weather. they could constantly be found with an IPAD, tablet etc……They didn't even know we took this picture, they were so enamored by their electronic devices.
Exhausted after fishing all night long. Henry's Lake opens at midnight and they fished all the way through till 7:30 a.m. They are a bunch of crazies!
We just realized the Corona's (our old next door neighbors) have the cabin right next door. How did we never put this together. The kids were so excited to play with Julia and Noah!
Taylor really wanted a picture of her with this bear- Peri thought she was a little nuts.
The boys and kids (minus Taylor and Peri) went to shoot ground squirrel and rock chucks. Ashton got 5 squirrels and loved using Treagyn's 20 gauge. He's already asked for one for Christmas.
This is an original desk used at the first school in West Yellowstone. This is also the original building. Peri loved it.
Treagyn and Carter relaxing. The weather was so beautiful!
We had some crafts to paint
This was at Big Jud's in Ashton, Idaho. I don't know why he insists on crossing his eyes for every picture lately. But, it is kinda funny! Cam, Ashton, and I shared this burger and a plate of fries and we were stuffed.
It was a great weekend of fun and beautiful weather, with a run-in with a bear! Good times
