Vegas Family Trip and LOTS of pictures

We just returned from a week vacation with all the Eddies in Las Vegas. We had a great time being together and playing tons. We got to stay in Jerry and Sheri's timeshare, which was clean and roomy. We each had our own suite and we were all on the same floor- so we came and went as we pleased. We each took turns making breakfast each morning, went swimming TONS, loved watching the babies in the water and learning how to swim. He did tons of shopping, went to watch the National BMX races which was in the hotel across the street. Ashton LOVED it, the girls got shiny floss tied into their hair by a girl in front of us(the cool new thing in Pocatello). We also went bowling together, which I'm sad to report Cameron finally beat me- in a game of bowling. I had a 12 year streak and then WHAM- he hits me with a strike on almost every turn. I'm not admitting this feat humbly or graciously- I will be back, OH YES, I will Come back. We went to dinner a few times, out for lots of treats, watched movies and ate popcorn in bed. We took Taylor to The Paris, which she is convinced she's going to the real deal someday and bought her a giant Eifel Tower virgin daquri. We had to carry it out of the hotel for her- so people didn't think we were "loading" up our child. The Bass Pro Shop is probably the kids' favorite. They loved looking at all the taxidermy bears and elk and bobcats, looking at the real fish ponds and practicing their shooting on the virtual bow-hunting screens. Taylor can't wait to take archery class and get her own bow(which will not be pink) At the end of the shop- is a giant Salt Water tank, which shows a diver feeding the stingrays and sharks. The kids can also ask him questions, and Ashton felt free to run and ask the first questions, "did you ever get bit by one of the big stingrays?" Then later, a mermaid swims down and takes pictures with the kids and plays games through the glass. That was fun. We also took the kids to play on roller coasters, carousels, and expose them to Casino's or Cashinos as Ashton calls them- and had many talks about why smoking is bad for you, and why is that lady wearing that outfit, and why are those people wasting their money on those machines, and the list could go on...... Although their is bad in Vegas, we steered cleared of alot of it and had a great time together. Last but not least we took the kids to Green Valley Ranch and walked around the outdoor mall and listened to live music, and played around all the mist by the trees. I got to visit Pottery Barn(for new silverware) and Williams Sonoma, Talbots, White House Black Market, Gymboree, Janie and Jack and etc.... I could have stayed there for hours. The kids did pretty well in the car, but were happy to get home. Oh.... Taylor made a shriek and scream and began crying hysterically around Nephi when she realized she had thrown her retainer away in her nachos at the Maverik gas station. We didn't realize it- until we were twenty minutes out, and we had to stay in a caravan with Jill and Derek so we could pick up our dogs in Ogden. So, after much crying and telling her the orthodontist is not going to be MAD at her- she's decided to get a sparkly pink one this time. She has watched over this retainer like it's a baby- so we couldn't get terribly upset, since she tried to leave it in the car, and ultimately I'm the one that threw it away. AHHHHHH! We had a great trip, but always good to get home and sleep in your own bed.
