A recital, and a birthday!

On Sunday we had our annual violin recital!  All of my students did great. I love each of them so much and so proud of how far they've come since our last recital.  All their parents' support and encouragement has helped them come as far as they have.  It was a lovely way to celebrate Valentine's Day.   We had a chocolate fountain to finish the recital off right.  It was fun and yummy!  Taylor also sang "Do-Re-Mi" while Whitney Johnson played on her violin.

It was also Ashton's birthday today! Happy Day.  It was a good but long day for him.  He had a headache this morning, but managed to rally himself together for school and taking his treats (homeade chocolate drizzed, sprinkled chip cookies)  Then Marmee surprised him by picking him up at school and taking him to Five Guys.  His favorite.  Then friends over for a fun Star Wars birthday party.  They had a great game of 3-D Spaceship Find (pin the tail on the donkey), which was very funny with the glasses.  But the best part was watching Marmee when the boys shot off their confetti poppers.  (Sorry mom, but this picture really captured the moment)  Ashton went to wrestling practice, then home for Applebees Curbside to go.  He is all tuckered out and in bed.  I can't believe my little baby boy is 6.  Love you Ashton.
