A litttle of this and that

 

Taylor is growing up so much! She had her picture taken in Young Women on Sunday, and I can't believe how fast time goes by.

 

We just finished making all 80 Valentines'! (Peri's, Ashton's, and mine for my student's) Cam and Ashton have been on a no candy/sugar diet since January 1st, so I wanted to have something that didn't include candy.  We're also getting ready for Ashton's birthday and all that comes with those celebrations.

 

Ashton's first basketball game. This is his best buddy, Mckay Penrod. They are pretty much together non-stop everyday.  They are in the same class together, walk to school together, play after school together. You name it- they are always playing together.  Here they are getting ready for their game.

 

Cam is coaching Ashton's team this year.  Ashton's # 34 again and thinks it's his lucky number. They won their first game 20 to 7. I'm always proud of his hustle, and his dad who is a great and inspiring coach. He really loves those boys.

 

This is Taylor at her first math count's competition. She made it into the top 10 round, then ended with a score of 7th place.  She was the best 6th grader on her team and out of the other team! We are so proud of her, but still wondering where her math genius came from- considering who her mother and father are! Must be from GG!!!! Thanks for those genes GG!

 

She now goes onto city to compete, and then regionals in a few weeks.  

 

Oh, the Pinewood Derby again!!!! Don't worry it's 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night and the Pinewood Derby is Wednesday night at 6. It's never too late, to start on your car.  They love it when I take pictures!

 

Ashton's car did great. Every run was 1st or 2nd place. He had fun!

 

Ashton is a little concerned about the wheels, but Cam is reassuring him that it will all work out.  And it did! What a great dad. Ashton did a lot of the work himself this year and says he wants to do it all next year.  We shall see.
