Oh, sweet memories

Dad's valentine presents to me

and some candy for Tay and Ashton

Peri made her heart box into a tray and served everyone some of her candy out of the little cups that came with it.

Ashton's birthday party

Marmee and GG came just for the occasion

Grammy, notice the little basketball guy? Uncle Kurt, notice he still has that "special" tape around his head you put on there

Cassidy Bassett- the sweetest babysitter and friend there is

Ashton doing the Limbo

Cassidy helped anyone that needed a little extra practice skating- even though the boys did NOT want to touch her hand

SILLY BOYS!!!!

Ashton at 10:03 p.m. HAD to finish his new LEGO dump truck. He finally finished at 12:00 and fell asleep on the floor

What a happy Valentine's Day it was at our house- but it always is; because of the men in my life.  My dad surprised us a few days before with the best and well taped package you've ever seen.  It had a note on it that said "do not open til Feb.14 or else!!!!" So, we patiently waited- and it was worth it.  The kids were spoiled with tons of candy, and so was Cam.  They each got a toy too. My favorite part, besides the chocolate of course was a CD that Cleve made in honor of Deb.  It was a little history on all the songs she loved in this life. Each song had a few sentences on why it was special to her.  My favorite is "For the first time" by Rod Stewart, because that's the song my dad played as soon as he heard Taylor was born.  Oh, I cried like a baby listening to it. So precious! My dad is one sentimental man. Cam surprised me with a card that said "GIRLFRIEND" on the outside. When I looked at it, he said, "oops i gave you the wrong one" the laughed hysterically. I wasn't laughing so hard! He then surprised with chocolate swirled cups filled with chocolate mousse and covered in beautiful berries. Alright, you are forgiven!
Ashton has his birthday two days later and what a fun one! He turned nine years old and wanted a basketball theme party.  Marmee and GG came to watch him play his bb game and they won- a great game with a couple baskets made by Ashton.  His grandma and grandpa also came to show their support.  Then Marmee and GG treated Ashton to anywhere he liked to go for lunch. Yes, it was the Golden Corral again.  Marmee also brought him his own pot of Clam Chowder which was gone the next day- YUM. Then he had his friends over that evening for quick ice cream and cake and off to Deleta.  The boys did pretty well skating, but a few needed help from our friend Cassidy. She is 14 and the best girl ever.  She skated with Peri the WHOLE time and Tay too. It was a happy birthday!
