What a fun 4th of July we celebrated with Marmee and GG and good friends!  We started the day off at the parade in Rupert, complete with at least 200 horses, a few cheerleading and dance groups, lots of tractors and the indians dancing; closely followed by the pioneers -a handcart company float.  (Cam made a funny joke about that) Then we went to Marmee's to swim for the day and take a nap and then head over to the most fabulous party! The Adams family that lives a couple doors down invited us all to  join them for a celebration of the 4th. Jan Adams throws one amazing party.  She made adorable crepe paper balls, all the table decor, home made cookies for the kids to decorate, incredible pies, and the cutest favors for all of the guests! There is also a million other little things I didn't mention.  If you ever want an amazing party- she'd be the one to ask.  We played volleyball(boys against girls), the girls WON by a landslide :) Then we took family photos together in front of their flag. We listened to some great thoughts by her husband Rob; about our constitution and to cherish our freedom. Then of course an amazing dinner and visiting.   To top of the night- fireworks at CSI, with a great view.  The BEST part of the day, is when the Adams' son, Boston came to help GG load the chairs into the mule. GG heard a SPLASH and turned around to find Boston clinging to the side of their pond.  He fell in thinking it looked like concrete; because of the chemical GG had put it.  It made it look like smooth cement, which Ashton commented on earlier that morning.  He jumped right out and GG drove him home soaking wet; smile and all! We had a great day
This afternoon we took Ashton and Boston with us to Bass Lake and also Tay's friend Hallie from around the corner.  They had a blast swimming and sliding. Ashton and Boston jumped off the dock at least 20 times and also went on a little canoe ride. GG and Cam joined us for lunch and Marmee and I just sat and visited. It was a lovely day and we can't wait to come back.  Thank you all for a beautiful 4th of July and for the celebrating the country I love soooo much.
