Pine Wood Derby

This is my favorite picture.  Do you think they were a little anxious about "being early"

Seriously- we were the first to arrive!

Ashton had the fastest score of the whole night.

The proud Pine Wood Derby Masters

Ashton and his friend Logan Bassett.

I had never been to a Pine Wood Derby and no idea what would take place at one.  It was great. Ashton and Cam worked so hard on his car. They stayed up at least two nights after midnight getting it just right. Ashton raced the first 3 races and got 4th, 3rd and 3rd place again. Then, Cam told him to turn his car around and it raced amazingly.  He won every race after that.  This means he gets to go to Regionals, to race all the other boys in Pocatello. We're not sure it's going to do as well, after slamming into into the wall and racing it all over the gym as soon as the Derby was over. But, some minor adjustments will hopefully help and we'll see.  Cross your fingers!
