You ready for this....

What a fabulous Christmas present from my mom and dad that we finally "got to open!" Amy, Kara and I got to go to Salt Lake for 5 days with our parents and play and shop and do a million other things. We were plum tuckered out by the time we got home. My mom and dad picked me up and we headed straight to Maddox in Logan- one of my favorite hometown places to eat. Then we checked in at our favorite spot- "The Little America" where we've stayed for years. Then we picked up Amy up at the airport and went to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Another one of our favorite places. We also kicked off the shopping by spending time in Trolley Square. My favorite- Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn. My dad was amazing- he packed around all our bags and loaded them in the car and spent many hours waiting around for us. Did I mention he was amazingly patient. Then we got to sleep in the next morning (heaven). We set off for IKEA, which according to my dad- we spend two hours and forty minutes in- he waited in the car for much of it; he said he enjoyed people watching. Then more shopping and amazing lunch and then to go get Kara. We were treated to a new outfit for the play that evening at the Hale Theater. We saw My Fair Lady, which was so good and I could have watched for hours(or in the words of Eliza Doolittle- danced all night). The theater itself is worth going for- so fun and we can't wait to take our kids. Then a great late meal at the coffee shop inside Little America The next day was a trip to Gardner Village which has so much history and great food and don't forget a stop at The Black Goose.. Then to The Aussie Pink Floyd concert, which was fun- especially for my dad who is the ultimate fan. We got to see Cleve Buttars and all their family and catch up. The next morning we went to The Spoken Word at Temple Square and listened to the most beautiful music. Then the day would not be complete without brunch at the Little America. Then it was time to say goodbye; SOOOO SAD! We had such amazing times- especially at night when we opened birthday presents for me and ate at The Grand America. The next evening we went through pictures and letters that my dad found in "our boxes." All the things we've collected over the years that my mom has saved- that was a tearful but sweet trip down memory lane. We loved reliving all the moments we had as children and loved talking about our kids and the things to still come. I love my sisters sooooo much and so thankful for such wonderful parents who spoil us and love us to death. I can't wait for another trip like this, to spend more precious time together. Thank you so much mom and dad for a very very wonderful time! I love you.
